Design mode

Design is the visual editor and the from-scratch entry for designers, with task-linked provenance for hand edits.

Open beta guideJump to first section

Use Design for direct visual work on frames, text, imagery, layout, spacing, and project design-system choices. It opens full-bleed and records attributed design change events when entered from a task review.

Contextual composer

Design has one compact input line. Selection and frame context appear as removable chips; there is no Research/Strategy/Image mode picker, destination control, engine selector, connector row, or autonomy setting. Informational questions become Chats. Work becomes a tracked Task, and generated Design mutations are not applied until that Task exists.

Use + → Figma Import for a configured project Figma binding. The tool is absent without the exact binding and never falls back to another account. Import is Task-tracked before frames are applied.

Task-linked design edits

Open Design with a task in review and Iterel attaches hand edits to that task's Activity and Changes. Apply to code creates a normal task round grounded in the exact Design events and frames. Only a receipt with changed code marks those edits reconciled; recorded visual intent remains honestly pending until then.

Mobile and web

Design data is cloud-backed and opens on any desktop client. Design is a desktop surface: on a phone it is absent rather than degraded, and a Design link resolves to that project's tasks.
