Chats and cited answers

Project Chat

An informational question from Build-home General or a compact contextual composer becomes a saved Chat in the left panel. It never also creates a Task. When project sources support the answer, citation chips name those sources; when no source is found, Iterel says the answer was produced without project sources.

Context-scoped Ask

The context panel provides a direct cited-Q&A door over the same project corpus.

Task-scoped Ask

Inside a task, Ask adds the task's conversation, receipts, spec, and changed files to retrieval. The answer lands between rounds without starting an engine, changing status, or incrementing the round number.

When a Chat becomes work

A follow-up that asks for implementation is re-triaged into a Task and leaves a routing marker in the Chat. The product does not duplicate the implementation conversation back into the Chats list.
