Sharing and permissions

Control team roles, share links, and section-level access.

User-facing guide
Jump to first section

Opening the share panel

Click the Share button to open the panel. It has three tabs: Share Links, Team Members, and Invitations.

Team roles

When you invite someone to a project, assign them a role:

  • Owner — full control including billing and team management
  • Admin — can manage team members and project settings
  • Editor — can view and edit all project content
  • Viewer — can view project content but cannot make changes

Section-level permissions

Beyond roles, you can control access at the section level. For each team member or share link, toggle checkboxes for:

  • Research (view/edit)
  • Strategy (view/edit)
  • Ideation (view/edit)
  • Flows (view/edit)
  • Design (view/edit)
  • Code (view/edit)

For example, give a developer Editor access to Code and Viewer access to everything else.

Click Create new link in the Share Links tab. Configure:

  • Label — a name for the link
  • Role — what access the link provides
  • Section permissions — which sections are visible
  • Password protection — toggle on and set a password
  • Expiration date — when the link stops working

Each link in the list shows its label, URL (with a copy button), status toggle (active/inactive), and expiration. Hover to see edit (pencil) and delete (trash) buttons. Click the QR icon to generate a scannable code.

Inviting team members

Click Invite in the Invitations tab. Enter an email address, select a role, set section permissions, and click Send.

Pending invitations show the email, role, invited date, and expiration. You can resend or cancel any pending invitation.

Managing existing members

In the Team Members tab, each member shows their avatar, name, role badge, and join date. Hover to reveal Edit role and Remove member options. Click Edit to change their role or section permissions.
