Canvas comments

On the design canvas and flow editor, you can pin comments directly on elements.

Adding a comment

Click the comment tool, then click on an element to place a comment pin. A numbered circle appears at that position. Click the pin to open a popover with a text input. Type your comment and submit.

Comment pins

Each pin shows a number indicating the comment count. Pins can be:

  • Dragged to reposition on the canvas (drag threshold prevents accidental moves)
  • Clicked to open the thread popover showing the original comment, all replies, and a reply input
  • Resolved — click the resolve button in the popover to mark the thread as resolved. Resolved pins appear grey with a checkmark. Click unresolve to reopen.

Comments are supported on the flows, wireframes, design, ideation, and backend surfaces.

Text selection comments

In research and strategy content areas, highlight text and a floating Comment button appears above your selection. Click it to open a comment dialog for that specific text passage.

Comments side panel

Click the comments icon to open the side panel showing all comment threads across the project in one place.

  • Section filter dropdown — filter by All Sections, Research, Strategy, Design, etc.
  • Status filter — filter by All Status, Unresolved, or Resolved
  • Unresolved count badge — shows in the panel header
  • Mark all read button — click to clear unread indicators

Each comment in the panel shows the author, content, timestamp, and reply options. Click Resolve or Unresolve on any thread.

Real-time presence

When multiple people are in the same project:

Collaborator avatars

Avatars appear in the top bar showing who is online. Up to 5 avatars are shown with a "+N more" indicator for additional collaborators.

Hover over an avatar to see a tooltip with the person's name, which phase they are viewing, and a "Click to follow" hint.

Cursor positions

On shared surfaces like the design canvas, you can see where other collaborators are pointing. Each cursor is color-coded to match the collaborator's avatar border.

Follow mode

Click a collaborator's avatar to follow their view. Your viewport will track their position and selections in real time. The followed avatar shows a glowing outline with a pulse animation. Click again to stop following.

Notifications

Click the bell icon in the top bar to open the notifications panel. Notifications include:

  • New comments and replies
  • Task completions
  • Generation results
  • Team member activity

Each notification shows a type icon (green for success, orange for warning, red for error, blue for info), a title, message, and timestamp. Unread notifications have a highlighted background and a dot indicator.

Click a notification to mark it as read. Use Mark all read to clear everything, or Clear all to dismiss.

The bell icon shows an unread count badge (capped at "9+" for 10 or more).
